Cristina’s passion for art and music started early in life. To this day there are still abstract paintings hanging in her family’s walls from her youth, and stories told of the first time she tried to tune a guitar – breaking all the strings. Apparently, that guitar just did not sound right.

In the mid-80s her attention to music intensified as she became more involved in the underground music scene in the Pacific Northwest.  Now, more than 20 years later, Cristina has played bass in a number of bands throughout the Northwest and Washington D.C.

During the early 90s, Cristina headed two art and music collectives – Reko Muse and The Un-Cola. She promoted music and art events at the collectives and at various other venues around the Northwest until 1993, when she migrated to the other coast and the other Washington.

Life in Washington D.C. allowed Cristina to focus more on her visual skills. There, she created paintings that have been displayed in group shows, comic book anthologies, and as an honorable mention by Mark Ryden in Juxtapoz Culture and Art Magazine.

After nine years in D.C., Cristina returned to Seattle to study digital art and web design at The Art Institute. In 2004, Cristina launched her freelance business, stigmatic media, focusing on web design and management. Over time the focus has turned more to her first passion, art.
